Ponderings on unretiring a character
Some of you encountered Theo in the brief time he was in play. Some of my favorite writing in this LJ was due to him.
I'm considering unretiring him, since Kincaid is often in proxy situations and I think with some background retooling, he might end up being viable for play, since his stats were almost irrelevant to the concept.
Now, here is the quandry - most of his background ties are not in play. Anyone off hand know how hard a background re-write would be? (One of his ties is tied an approval for Source Sympathy. This would be the bastard of one I suspect to get switched to another PC and approved, but the character he is tied to thus is no longer in play and the player may not even be in the cam any longer.)
And if I do... I'm going to be looking at you all for a list of new ties.
I need previous regnants - some of which were remarkably cruel and brutal to their ghouls and one or two who were significantly kinder to a ghoul. (Particularly, I need someone who 'inherited' him when they were a neonate with a cruel/demanding sire and who was seperated from unwillingly.) And these people need to be ones who won't mind the fact that Theo will immediately 'fall into old habits' and start following them very closely, including into private meetings.
I need to fill in slots, people who were ghouls before their embrace, that might have had an NPC regnant who could have had multiple thralls.
Ghouls he may have run into in the past delivering messages, at gatherings, whatnot.
I've already got his lineage sorted out. :)
