A brief thought
As The Williams has just reminded me, I've been through this a few times before.
The world didn't end then. (Well YOF, but really, you get my drift.)
It won't end now.
I wanted a hard reset, I got a soft one.
I am not entirely happy with how this is going, but its better than it could be and when handed lemons, I'm making lemondrops.
I do not know if Kincaid will stay around. I have to see who retires who, where I see her story going (and if the STs will actually let me go there which I strongly doubt), and the way in which the story for reset is presented. If she does go then I'll create something new. If she doesn't... I'm still likely to either re-tool and play, or retired and create anew from Serafia, since her concept requires far more xp than she'll have available.
But ultimately? Yeah, losing XP and powers sucks. Yeah, I know we're worried about more shark jumping/deus ex machina from the story side of things. But really, I can't make myself really angry about it.
