(no subject)
I'm nearly through with my first week of the Christmas holidays and damn, I'm missing Uni! I cannot believe how much I was dreading it, I should so be the poster girl for "Unsure About Uni? Man Up and Go Anyway!" Seriously though, my first day there and I was already counting down the days until I could go back home and wallow. Now I'm itching to get back, even if it means exams and essays and all sorts of boring stuff- it's all worth it for the company.
Missing Sockfriend and Coursefriend so much :( It's weird not being able to just nip down the stairs and see them, I miss quarter to wake-up calls and coffees before lectures! I especially miss waking up next to Medic (and then falling asleep again after he's left for his 9am lecture!) I'm even missing Dave's lectures! What is happening to me? :-p
Ooh, I got to open my last Hanukkah present today! I'd already figured out what the surprise was, he'd taken my favourite picture of us (taken just after he'd asked me out at Bonfire Night) and made it into a magnetic jigsaw :D It's on the fridge in my bedroom ^.^ That has to be one of the sweetest, most imaginative presents ever! I don't think I'm ever going to get over just how wonderful this guy is :-) I'm popping up to see him on his birthday in a few days, so that'll be fun! Then it's a long wait until New Years, although we still haven't really got anything sorted for it. I might see if I can nudge SockFriend into hosting a party for us- he did mention he might, and it'd be a good way to see everyone again.
Meeting up with the Spoons crew tonight, first time in a while! I'm eager for all the gossip, naturally, but a little scared. I'm betting everyone's all close and in-jokey now- which is always an uncomfortable situation to break into, but hey that's why God invented the double vodka and coke!
