So most folks know that read my posts that my brother and his wife have been in the process of adopting. They've managed to raise almost all of the adoption fees, but are struggling with the expense of traveling to China and the stay there that's required. I think they've done an amazing job of saving the money required on top of my sister-in-laws staggering school loans (which lots of you can empathize with I'm sure). My brother works two full time jobs and my sister-in-law is just starting in a law firm, which means right now clients are few until she builds a reputation so not a lot of income yet.

The adoption paperwork is almost complete. Unfortunately, the process cost more than we had anticipated. We are looking for help raising money to travel to China early next year to bring Jianyu home. We estimate that our 3 week trip, including airfare, will cost roughly $10,000. I know that in today's economy everyone is feeling the strain. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This perfect, precious little boy is sitting in an orphanage waiting for me to come get him. I don't want him to have to wait longer because we haven't saved enough money to bring him home.
