I hope you feel better soon, being sick isn't pleasant at all. I'd kind of feel the same way about the job, why go out of you're way if it's not going to be there in the long run... you need to take care of you and that's just what sick time and personal time if for.
Congratulate your daughter for dumping the jerk! it's not always easy to do. It sounds like your daughters are figuring things out and it's nice they can be there for each other.

I'm just really tired of either working, or working there I'm not sure which. When I started there the company cared about it's employees and it was a fun place to work. Ever since we got a number cruncher as a CEO the company doesn't want to invest in their employees so the employees don't want to invest in the company. It's become a very stressful place to work.
We didn't figure it would last, she's my wanderer every guy she's dated has a six month expiration date. To the point that my oldest warns them they only have six months. She has a pattern, about five months in she'll get distant, start talking to another guy and then moves on. She doesn't leave one till she has a backup, I blame it on my ex for walking out when she was three. She's always looking for that father figure.
I totally get the tired of working there thing, it's amazing how a workplace can go from being great to being a soul sucking hole in short order. I hope that you find something you do like or maybe find a way to make it fun again. The atmosphere of an office can really make a difference.
Maybe she's not ready for a long term thing, better wandering than stuck with the wrong one.
No she's not, and I know she's young, but when you have to hold your breath every time she starts dating a new one it gets stressful. I will not be able to tolerate it if she ends up with an asshole. He may have to disappear one day if that's the case.
I've had a few of those... sometimes it takes a while but you do learn to avoid those types, hopefully she gets the lesson down sooner rather than later.
