Life and Writing Status
**ME
Well it's again 4th quarter in retail world and I have roughly twenty to twenty five people to be hired for seasonal. That means setting up anywhere from 50 to 75 interviews, processing the paperwork on the ones that pass the interview phase. Then I have to get them all in with paperwork signed and training completed before the week of Thanksgiving.
Needless to say that's enough stress add to that my youngest is finishing up volleyball and the next thing to try out for on her agenda is cheerleading. Guess what there's not a break after that because she wants to do softball in the spring *sighs* My middle kid is still without a car and we have to get her back and forth to work so she can save to get one.
The oldest doesn't have one either but her and her boyfriend figure out most of those logistics cause he has a vehicle. I do have to take her to her doctor appointments, but it's not so bad since I make all appointments in groups anyways so I only have to go once for two or three appointments at a time. Whatever it takes to make sure they all take care of themselves whether they want to or not.
My mom's suffering a little bit of depression from my father's death. It's not as bad as it could be and she's going to talk to her doctor about some of her symptoms. She's been forgetting a few things, nothing major and she does have three kids and a daughter-in-law so it's hard to keep up with who you've told what ,cause lord knows I can't remember myself. She feels like it's linked to the depression and her lack of restfull sleep which they've already set up test to check her oxygen levels at night, because she seems to always be fatigued which could be related to one or both of her concerns. I try to call her every other day just to check on her and give her someone to talk to. She's active in her church and she just went on a four day trip that she enjoyed so she's getting time out with other people. My sister-in-law meets her at the dog park so they can talk and let the dogs play, she just graduated from law school and like most folks are, she's looking a job so she has some free time right now.
My dining room and kitchen still needs painting, the molding has to be put back down and the living room and extra space has to have the wood flooring put down, get painted and molding put back up. Our water heater has been non-operational for almost a week because my husband waited three days to look at it and then it's the weekend. The only place that has the part is closed on the weekend or we can order it from another place and wait 48 hours...so no hot water for a week not fun at all.
**Writing
I sent off the last section of Room to be betad by munibunny so that one might be up in the near future. I've gotten the first 1500 words written for the third chapter of Family done and off to her as well. I get most of my writing done sitting at the above appointments or sports practices waiting :) Although if I can get some quiet time on my weekend off I can get a lot accomplished as well.
