So Tired

Wow. So, it was my first time at CES, and I really only had meetings scheduled for Wednesday (it was like... a business matching thing by this group that... is nice and helpful to us :) ) so I ended up in tahoe the few days before Wed (I left on like... Friday?) then flying up to LV from Reno on Wed morning (flight was at 6am) then hanging at the Hilton center (where my meetings were) all day, then flying back around 9pm... and getting home at around 11.45.... This is after a hard 3 days of skiing slalom, and little sleep Tuesday night, and some intense meetings on Wed.........

Remind me not to do that again? I think I slept through all of Thursday......

Plus, I only got to wander around Hilton's North hall a little, and while i did get to see the most amazing thing ever - Honda's ASIMO robot can walk down STAIRS and run in a CIRCLE. And balance on one leg! Kickass! Plus they had a cute little Lotus, although the fact that they had a ginormous sound system on the darling little car just seemed tragic. And there was this amazingly beautiful digital tv they were displaying in the International CES section - I didn't get to see all that I would've liked to, and I mean I didnt even get to see Sands... Since I really only had like two hours to be wandering around :P I'm totally going to try to stay there for the whole convention next time...... Plus, I only got a few awesome meetings and a cute lil ASIMO pin out of it (one of the guys running the booth of that group was being nice to me and he got one for me since I totally didn't have time to get anything on my own :)) And while yes, that is a lot, there were a lot of cutesy little things I would've loved to get my hands on :) Especially since all those guys pretty much sell all the stuff they brought with the cause they have to get rid of all the packing materials when they're setting up anyway. (sulk) Ah well, you live and learn, yes? And next year, I'm there for the whole shebang :P 1 day of meetings, 3 days of goofing off sound wonderful in a gadgety place like CES :P

Side note: I got to re-meet this other guy I saw a few months ago... And he's funny and a little on the adorable side :P So I approve! Especially since I'll probably see him again as he's one of the sorta-space cadets for the SF office :P (And I knew better than to try to find out how old he is...... I honestly don't want to know :P)

Skiing was amazing (even though the snow was rather the suck, as there are ridiculous amounts of rocks since we haven't gotten any good snow, plus its been like 40s and all that rubbish).... Although, I must say it was rather alarming when I hit a massive rock (I have the chunk ripped outta the bottom of my right ski, and then the top of my left to prove it was massive, btw) and landed on my head.... Ringing = annoying! (sigh) Why is it that I've only fallen down  maybe 2 times in the past 9 or so years of skiing, and both times were because of rocks? I'll tell you why! ROCKS HATE ME. (sob) the bastards.

And now, since I probably should, I will try to call it an early night........ Either that, or watch episodes of Kuitan, the gluttonous detective (just YouTube it if you want something very like Detective Conan, but with this guy who eats a lot... I'm sure I've written a note on it b4 :P)
