Me and Alcatraz

So tomorrow I was planning to visit a friend from high school, the one I visited a few months ago. On Friday afternoon, though, I started noticing this strange rasping sound in my chest whenever I took a deep breath. It's continued since then. When I cough, it seems to clear up a bit, but within the next ten to fifteen minutes, it's back in full force. Something just doesn't feel right, so I'm going to put in a call to the doctor's tomorrow morning. Hopefully they'll have an open spot for me to get in.

I recorded the two-hour premiere and the following week's episode, but only sat down to watch them today. Initially the show came to my attention when I heard that Santiago from Merlin was going to be a reoccurring character on the show, so that's why I thought I'd give it a look see.

Santiago's only been in the show briefly so far, but I still like what I see. Paranormal plus cops and feds? Definitely interesting. Also, Sam Neill's the lead male in the show, which is always a plus. I've liked the man since I saw him in Jurassic Park when I was a kid, and nearly keeled over with excitement when I first saw that he'd be playing Wolsey in the first season of The Tudors. His character is a complete ass so far, but I imagine we'll eventually get to see more of his background down the line, to see what makes him tick.

I like the mystery of it all too, how a huge number of prisoners and guards disappeared from Alcatraz and how that was hushed up, but now they're slowly reappearing one by one. So curious about where they went, and how Lucy was there back in the sixties and is still around in the present day looking like she hasn't aged a day. Very mysterious.

Overall, I'd recommend you giving it a chance! :)
