- I love her because more often than not, she's the voice of reason when Harry (and Ron too) want to rush in blindly, much like they did when the gang ran off to the Ministry to save Sirius without so much as something like a plan. Granted, she isn't always successful, but that she tries to be the logical one in the midst of a world of illogic is awesome. ;)

- Hm, marry? I've never really been a fan of Ron/Hermione (he was a real bastard to her on too many occasions for my taste), but I wouldn't mind seeing her with Neville. Hermione saw something in him long before anyone else did, including himself. Fuck? *bg* Draco, hands down. Those two would have some great hate!sex. Never, Ever? Since I can't stand the relationship with Ron, I'd have to say him, even though it happened in canon.

- Hm, I'd say Ginny. We saw so little of their friendship, but I do like what I saw. When their guys are being idiots, you can just see them rolling their eyes over their heads.

- I can't see Harry/Hermione, not in the canon characters, anyway. In fanon, I've read some great Harry/Hermione fics, but in canon? Definitely more of a sibling relationship there than anything else. To be honest, I can't really see any romantic relationships among the Golden Trio in canon.

- I wish Hermione could have had a chance to collaborate with some of the more ruthless of the OotP, like Alastor Moody. Hermione can be vicious when she thinks she has cause. Combine that with people willing to, you know, actually fight like they're in a war, and I think there might very well have been some Death Eater casualties even before Voldemort was revealed at the Ministry.

- I'd love to see a fic featuring a lot of ruthless!Hermione, to have her become the silent power in the Wizarding World. Not the visible leader, no, she leaves that to people who are more suited to it, but I'd love to see her working furiously behind the scenes, building a better world, or at least what she sees as a better world. Basically, she'd almost be a competent version of Tom Riddle. She doesn't go after people whose blood is different, nor does she act like a complete moron, but after people who want to harken back to Tom's days.
