Attended the Second Annual Undergraduate History Conference today and listened to over twelve presentations(having missed the first panel and its four presentations because it was at frickin' 9am). The topics ranged from the continuing quest for independence in the Basque country in Spain to the brutal exploitation of Asian women as comfort women by the Japanese Army during World War II, and a whole range of subjects in between.
Damn, I love being a history major. It's so much fun to gather together with other history majors and professors and grad students and geek out together. *bounces* Plus, I had several friends who presented in the conference, so it was also entertaining to be there to offer support.
*is proud to be a geek*
