Crossing Waterfalls

Beautiful waterfall
completely enticing

I have crossed the top edge
two times before

I walked fast
I walked slow

My steps careful
My steps sometimes bold

But the ends result was
That I fell each time

I was hurt each time

But I never stopped trying

I don't know what's on the
other side

I don't know IF I will make
it to the other side

But I know, I will try

The footing is unsure
Fear of hurt looms

It's a struggle

Not every foot step will
be well placed

There will be slippery rocks
and giant steps along the way

But it's about me not quiting
when I slip

Finding my balance again
to keep on walking

And, so what if I fall again
I will heal... it's what time is for

I don't fear the fall as much as
I fear the not taking the journey
