jason, my boss who's leaving next week for hawaii, is giving me his favorite plant because he can't take it with him because it isn't native to the islands and could become an invasive species. it's a rubber tree. he got it from alan, a guy he dated for 4 amazing weeks before alan told him he was moving to germany. and then he got his rubber tree. and named it alan. and now i'm going to take care of alan. the tree.
