My mom and I just took Callie on a walk. I got a pedometer the other day at Walmart so I wore it. We took 2,089 steps! I read it's recommended you take 10,000 steps a day, and 15,000 to lose weight, which seems like a lot, but the walk for sure didn't seem like it was 2,000 steps at all, so who knows? I also read that 1,000 steps is roughly 1 mile, and that in some study people who walked 10 miles a week lost weight and stuff. So if we go on a walk like that 5 days a week, that's 10 miles a week. Yay math.
I'm watching the Cardinals game and it's not looking pretty. It's the bottom of the 8th and the score is 4-1, Astros. BOO. We only have two innings to get 3 runs to at least tie the game and prolong it. Ehhh. I was multi-tasking earlier and getting all of my reading test stuff photocopied and organized, and I put away the rest of my science sheets that were just stuffed in my notebook. I got really stressed out during my Reading class tonight, because my teacher is so vague and I was confused and just irritated. She pretty much cleared things up for me, however. I just want to give Kailyn her last two tests and be done. Well, I won't be done, I'll still have to write the case study and do 8 lesson plans, in Madeline Hunter format, of course. And finish my observations in the 4th grade class. The teacher still wants me to teach a lesson, which I'm way too busy to do things I'm not even assigned, but I'll do it anyway, just because it would look bad not to, ya know?
Speaking of observations, I did my first one on Tuesday. It was okay. The teacher has a really different teaching style than any other teacher I've seen, but it's good to get a glimpse of all types, to know what I want to be like. One little girl in the class had the name Angel, so she came and told me we have the same name, it was cute. Then this other little girl came up to me as they were being dismissed and said,"You're going to make a good teacher." It was adorable. Their counselor came in and spoke to them for awhile. I wish I would have had more time to talk to her, because I'm considering possibly getting my MA in School Counseling. Who knows. I also get to meet the principal at my next observation. Yippee.
Well, my throat kind of hurts, and I'm tired. I guess I'll watch the end of the game, which is still not looking good. Then I think I'll watch the episode of "Everwood" that I taped and go to bed. I'm so mad! On Tuesday I taped "Gilmore Girls" and "Supernatural" and "The Real World," only I picked the wrong speed, so it cut off like 5 minutes into "The Real World." It hasn't been on since. Hopefully it will be on this weekend. I'm off Saturday and Sunday, but I have a lot of homework to get started on, so it kind of sucks. I need to start my field trip simulation, my personal growth project in Health, and...well I'm sure there's other stuff but I don't want to stress about it right now! I never get to go out anymore. My life is sooooo boring. Hmph.
