The past few days have been pretty damned good. We drove to my grandma's in Pennsylvania and ate the biggest feast ever. I wish I could cook half as good as that woman. Of course I think if I could I would be as big as a house by now.
Last night was a great show. I will miss Mary Prankster. No one rocks my world the way she does. But I am excited to see what she does now. After all she said in an online interview that she was retiring the character, not herself. She's working on a book of the last ten years and she says she has a lot of songs written that she didn't feel were Mary Prankster material. In any case, I am sad that the Prankster is gone, but I am looking forward to what Mary does in the future.
Today I had my dad over for lunch and he took me out driving. He's teaching me to drive stick. I know, 27 and has never driven stick.... lame. Well, I managed not to kill us, but it's harder than I expected. I am an expert at stalling. And I can give a mean case of whiplash. Still, Dad says I did well. I don't know how he judges these things though. Mostly we just worked on starting and stopping the car. He says once you get that down everything else is a breeze. *le sigh* I should have learned this years ago.
Well, that is all. I know... not as exciting as promised. Ciao!
family,
good times
