Somebody told me

Today was a horrible day at work; however I did watch a man get arrested. He stole cigarettes and meat. Then he denied it and called our managers racist's. If I were white then you wouldn't do anything about it. Maybe this man had no food to feed his family and all he wanted was this uncooked meat. And his children have an addiction to cigarettes and will die if they do not have enough. I didn't steal anything. Then why did you put the meat in your pants? You're all racist! For the rest of time, people will make dumb, ignorant excuses such as this. They come from all people, and they are all stupid... and for this - the homo sapien species will always have that against them and will always be on a level lower than it should.

The Home Run Derby was tonight and what a derby it was! Two of the predicted stars of the show, Jason Giambi and Ken Griffey Jr., had to step aside and not play during the All-Star Break because of injuries. Their replacements? Miguel Tejada and Lance Berkman. Who are they? Exactly. And with that, they were the two finalists. Ahead of Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, and the like. Tejada went on to set the world record for most home runs hit in the derby. That's pretty cool.

As far as the All-Star game goes, I am excited to see Estrada play. He has the best NL catcher record, even surpassing Mike Piazza. And he has the 10th highest batting average in the league. Of course, Piazza is the starter because every baseball fan knows him and he's great and everything, yada... yada... But Estrada will play and that's what matters.

In closing, The Music Station and Coffee Fusion are my votes for the two top business places in Ocean Springs. Yes, they surpass Tato-Nut. The owners of those two stores are actually good friends. I found that out today. As I was listening to the radio Sunday morning on my way to church, Jed the Fish (a dj) played a song that I immediately fell in love with. And during that song I decided I wanted to buy that cd. I never do that. After the song was over, the dj ended up saying it was a great cd and had a lot of good songs, in case anyone was interested in buying it. I took that as a sign. Anyways, I searched that day and Monday for this cd, by a band called "The Killers" - how nice. Anyhow, I could not find it. Therefore I went to The Music Station where the guy told me he would order it for me and have it first thing the next morning. I asked how he would get it in so quickly. I have my connections. Well whatever they are, I am grateful and looking forward to tomorrow morning. Now I will leave you all with a selection of that song I heard on the radio.

Breaking my back just to know your name
Seventeen tracks and I've had it with this game
I'm breaking my back just to know your name
But heaven ain't close in a place like this
Anything goes but don't blink you might miss
Cause heaven ain't close in a place like this
I said heaven ain't close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I'd let a rumour ruin my moonlight

Well somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looks like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It's not confidential
I've got potential
