fly-by October post...
I'm in [shock] that it is already October 11th, first off, people. Holy SHIT. Where is the time going?? Well, it's going... and soon it will be going going gone! And we'll be smack-dab in the middle of 2006. Yikes, for real.
I started school, officially, on Sunday. GO me! Right now I am taking Business & SOciety. I'm kinda bummed because I thought for sure Anna and I would be in the same class but we're not. We're taking the same course but we don't have the same instructor. [pout] Oh well, our assignments are still identical. So we can still be study buddies. In fact, our very first assignments are due on Saturday the 15th. I'm trippin' the fuck out. They don't waste any time now do they? I guess not. Yours truly will have a shiny new Associates in Business by May 27th of next year. Oh hell yeah! This is like... damn-near instant gratification and instant gratification totally works for me!
Work is... eh.... I go back and forth. I have those days where I can't stand it and those other days where I wonder if, instead of IT - Networking, I'll go for a degree in legal and become a paralegal or some shit. I think I'm going to stick with IT, though. I have more of a passion for it.
Speaking of passion... abarrette's parents celebrated their 25th Anniversary together this weekend. They renewed their vows and I atended with abarrette and the kiddos. It was really simple and sweet and lasted just long enough. It got me thinking and I think I'm going to talk my parents into renewing their vows on their 20th Anniversary in 2008. Umm... yeah, their 25th is too damn far away. Instant gratification... remember? C'mon, keep up! So... it was really a fun time. We went out to eat at this little Italian joint in Defuniak Springs with a whole mess of her family. It was cool, though. After all, we both bought new black dresses and we looked HOT. Oh yeah!
And after a near-perfect weekend (yeah, yours truly drank a leeetle too much Saturday night), drama erupted yesterday. It's complicated and will take entirely too long to type so I will leave it at that. I just wish I could go back and change what I did yesterday afternoon at lunch.. because if it weren't for that, the drama wouldn't exist. At least not yet. But that's a whole other story entirely... also very complicated and long.
