life has been busy. Relationships and commuting to see someone near Seattle made for a really busy life. I've stopped seeing the person in Seattle, but will still visit occasionally, especially as I've developed client contacts I'll want to maintain, at least as a secondary option when I need work.
However... while things have changed as far as the amount of time I spend commuting, I'm spending a lot more time with trouble at home. My housemate, J, is driving me nuts. I gave her notice to move at the beginning of the month. She should be out in two weeks. She hasn't found a place, hasn't started packing, doesn't even have boxes, and when I asked her if she needed boxes she told me no that someone else was bringing her some.
Today I told her that I was going to the sheriffs office to file for an eviction if she didn't start packing. She complained that it would make it harder for her to find a place, I told her that getting her out was my problem, finding a place was hers. Because she hasn't even started packing I've got no reason to think that she will actually be gone by the last day of the month. (She's already told me she can't be out until the weekend because her moving vehicle is a friends and isn't available until then. I told her that wasn't my problem and she has to be out before the first. I'm sure she won't be and it will cause problems for the new housemate.
Grrr, it just makes me furious. She always has an excuse for why she can't do something. She hasn't worked in three months and hasn't really been looking for work since unemployment covers her expenses. She has two non running vehicles she can't drive because she lost her license due to unpaid tickets. I dont know what she thinks she's going to do with them. Personally I think she should sell them. She kept saying she was going to fix them up, but she didn't touch them all summer when she was unemployed.
I'm just taking all the right steps and encouraging her to get out rapidly and without a fuss. Anyone know anybody in the Portland community who is looking for a place to live?
