Summary: Dawn tries to get Buffy's attention
Dawn was sick and tired of being ignored by her big sister. She had become bound and determined that her sister would pay attention to her.
First she dyed her hair black and added purple strips. Buffy said nothing except to ask if Dawn had made a mess.
Then she began wearing dark make up and way too much leather. Buffy asked her if she could borrow her leather choker.
She began smoking and playing dark, loud, anger fulled music. Andrew and the Immortal bribed her to turn it down.
She got an internship at the Rome branch of Wolfram & Hart. Her sister simply warned her not to sign any contracts.
It wasn't until Dawn had given up trying that finally Buffy paid attention but it was too late.
Dawn had been transferred to the LA branch of Wolfram & Hart and her new boss, well he definitely had a soft spot for the baby sister of his ex.
So it came to be that Dawn fell in love with Angel and he with her and she finally got her sister's attention. Unfortunately by that time it was far too late because little Dawnie didn't need Buffy's attention any more, because now she has Angel's.
