Sleep

Two hours. I've maybe had two hours of sleep tonight. I've given up trying after the last time Hubby woke me up (nightmare) about an hour ago. I can't get comfortable in bed. My tummy hurts. I'm stressed about doing the job today since I haven't covered this position in a while ( Read more... )

I sleep pretty well these days, thanks in part to my trusty ear-plugs. :)

I hope your day sucks less than you expect it to!

Oh, how I wish my solution would be so simple! However, we have no noise save the white noise we supply. Oh, and the occassional cat being retarded, but that's easily solved.

For me, it's mostly noise that keeps me awake. I'm very good at switching off anxiety or worry. I simply say "fuck it, I'll deal with that shit tomorrow" and go to sleep.

But thanks to years of communal living and demented fucking neighbours, I'm now very sensitive to noise. So I often have to use earplugs to get to sleep.

Well, you could visit. Our house is quiet. Our neighborhood is cool as well. No dickheads.

Nope, shutting off my brain is my problem. I wish I could be a lizard. They sleep half their brains at a time.

Sounds like heaven!

However, I undersatnd it's very hot where you are. That could be a problem for me, being acclimatised to the damp coldness of Scotland!

Still, I'd love to come visit you some day. :)

It's something I've always been very good at. Not sure what that says about my brain... I have to be REALLY stressed about something for it to interfere with my sleep, and I tend not to let things stress me.

Well, come in winter. Less likely to burst into flames. Disney is lovely in December because it's so quiet. And the beaches team with shells.

And I want to get to GB some day and go all over.
