In German today, we did the chicken dance while singing the list of prepositions that take the accusative case.

Durch, fur, gegen, ohne, um... Sing with me?

Why God? Why? Why do people always forget gegenüber? Why? Can't we show a bit of love for gegenüber, too?

across from (as in, "die Straße gegenüber")

"across from"... apparently no relation to it's components, "gegen" and "über".
