Pirates.

A storm was coming, I could see it in the clouds. I wish I would have stayed down with mother, but I needed to see father and he was up with the captain. The storm came on so fst that by the time I reached father and the captain the wind was blowing everything around and the sky had opened up and dumped all of it's contents on us, or so it seemed.

"Kayleigh, get back below with your mother. The weather is too dangerous for you to be up here." my father yelled over the roar of the wind and rain.

"I needed to see you. Calipso is angry. I just needed to see you to say goodbye. I love you. Tell Tiagh I am sorry." I said to him as the wind picked up and the waves crashed against the sides of the ship, rocking it moreso than usual.

"Kayleigh what do you mean goodbye? Please go back down with your mother. It is not safe here." he said pleading with his eyes for me to go back.

"Alright father." I said walking down the steps. As I was half way down the ship gave a great lurch and I was thrown over the side.

"Kayleigh!" my father screamed as he watched me fly.

"Man overboard!" the captain hollared as I was pitched over the starboard side railing.

The crew tried to get a line or hooks out to me, but the sea seemed to swallow me whole. that was the last my father saw of me.

It was a week later when Tia Dalma found me washed up along the shore. She brought me to her cabin and I was just hanging on to life. There was something I had to do, and I just couldn't let go.

She used the thing I was hanging on to so desperately to bring me back from the edge. I was dead, but my sould wouldn't let go.

There was a catch however, being bround back from the dead using only what the sould was holding on to makes things difficult. I could not age or really die until my soul found what it was holding on to so tightly. Unfortunately I did not know what that was exactly.

It was centuries before I became captain of my own ship. Tia Dalma also failed to enlighten me to the fact that Davy Jones would be following me and trying to get me to join his crew.

As I was not dead, but not living, I should have been brought to Davy Jones first.

(That's what I have so far.)
