Three Minutes of My Day
Okay so today I got a lot of stuff done. I met my sister at Landmark to eat lunch. That was the tastiest and most fattening salad I’ve had in a loooong while. My mom bought me a great deal of Christmas stuff yesterday and promptly gave it to me. I feel like a prostitute. You’re not just supposed to show someone what you’re getting them for Christmas and then hand it over. It’s WHACK! Oh well, I wore some of the clothes I got today so I can’t complain too much.
I bought my friend Kenice a cool vintage tea set then turned around and bought myself one. The one I got her is orange with yellow cups. The one I got my is gray, has nine pieces, and a sugar and cream dish. Is that not hot? I also bought a poster from Pura Vida about the episode of Superman when Louis Lane is black and Superman can’t decide whether or not he wants to marry her. RIDICULOUS. It tickles me to see how close-minded people are. The shop I bought my gray set from had a bunch of Aunt Jemima jars and a picture of black boys eating watermelon. Ey-yi-yi.
Anyway, I was going to head to Reggae Central but there were a bunch of guys with mask-hats on and I decided to pass. Anyway, I got Patrice, the twin of Kenice, Charade. It’s a Cary Grant/Audrey Hepburn movie. I know she’ll love it. I still haven’t gotten anything for my roommates. I have no idea what they want. I called Vanessa and she couldn’t even tell me what she wanted. How the hell do you get someone something for their birthday when they don’t even tell you what they want? I donno… I don’t want to get her any trash but I can’t afford to get her the second season of Nip/Tuck and that’s all I know she wants. Jessica, I’m getting food. She can appreciate that. Sarah… No clue.
In other news Fifth Element is the baddest movie on earth. I could watch it all day and three nights straight and it’s on tv as we speak. Sweet.
