They are not evil. They simply do not care if you, or any other being, lives or dies, so long as the flakes continue to fall, to nourish their timeless hunger.
It is whispered, in the shadowed halls of Innsmouth, that they murdered one of their ancient compatriots to increase the share for all of the precious flakes. Can you imagine? A creature spawned in the darkness before the light of the sun, and its only companions across the slow, disinterested eternity are merely shareholders - others who must be defeated, if one is to profit.
To stare into their eyes is to see madness.

Not that any of us have many sanity points left. Considering we've lived and seen many fantastic things on our RPG games.
