Lola has gotten much better, the levels in her blood are back to normal. And while she, is, what I call "stub tongue" she doesn't seem to mind. We do, though as she gets water -all over the place-. Oh well, c'est la vie. I think she's upstairs right now.
I'm looking for a place to volunteer, I'm trying the Connecticut Historical Society. And I asked the person I contacted, to follow-up for me. I also went and sent coverletters and resumes out to some local non-profits. Also, I went to the library - Hartford Public- and watched a four hour DVD on Grant Writing.
On that note. The Hartford Public Library - Central Branch is brand new and shiny. Beautiful Glass architecture and stuff. Basically, imagine if IKEA designed a Library. So, what's the problem? Well it's all style and no function. There's no real rhyme or reason to where anything is. The Circulation Desk is hidden away. There's no time limit on the Computers - so instead of being able to look stuff up - people are hogging the computers for computer games and interweb surfing. Also, the security guard at the front door makes you leave your backpack there because the librarians can't see the front door from their hidden area called a Circulation Desk. Oh, and getting your library card is a pain in the ass.
Beautiful but useless. Kind of a waste of money. Just like everything else in this city.
I've been reading
this thread at RPGNet thanks to
miss_manners. Basically, since Mage the Awakening is my favorite of the triumvrite it immediately peaked my curiosity. And I've been reading it off and on for a few weeks now (when I remember - I'm through page 40 of 85).
And I've been wanting, oh so wanting, to run something. A tabletop or even a LARP. I think I can swing the area, there's a community center just down the street... if I did that. I just think I need people. So, if anyone reading this is rather interested in an MtA2 LARP or even TT lemme know. I've been itching to storytell again and I think I've matured a bit maybe. Anyway let me know about that.
I think I'm done. Yeah. Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel
