Yesterday, we took another drive over Snoqualmie Pass. We listened to "Cold Play" and "John Denver" all the way over to Ellensburg, where we met with my dad and my step-mother as they were returning from a trip to Moses Lake. Valley Cafe was our restaurant choice again, although after having just been there recently, I think I was ready for a change. We did manage to get the same waiter and I was finally able to snap a photo of him that came clear enough to post. He's a great waiter and an a very cool guy. I'm not sure if he's single or taken, but ladies....
Afterwards we went to look for wildlife- mainly elk. Saw several deer along the way and finally the elk, but they were a bit far from the roadside.
A drive up to Cle Elum provided perfect views of the the Stewart Range. These are jagged and breathtakingly beautiful.
The highlight of the day came when we saw this flock of wild turkeys and I was able to get a hurried picture before they took off running towards the woods. Mark was making turkey calls and they'd all very loudly answer him. Crazy!
I really loved the way the cloud formations in the sky looked here:
Sunday was a lovely day!
