Well, here I am! I've been hiding! No, really I haven't. My internet hasn't been working on my computer lately. It took me awhile to get it fixed. Amazingly, I didn't miss the internet as much as I thought I would. Ah well

I'm glad to hear that you're still kicking! haha I heard about you and the front desk girl this afternoon. That is awesome. I'm glad I am not the only one that cannot stand it when they ask us if we live here. Or when your hands are completely full and you have already been through once and shown your ID. That one guy w/the glasses that works Sunday nights did that to me once. I just glared at him and said, "you KNOW I live here", and walked off. It felt good though, haha.
I hate having to show my ID all the time. It's so annoying. Someone told me that one of the girl's has asked her for her ID by her name. Can you believe that? If you know they live here and you know their name, what's the use? I don't get it. This school is getting stupider and stupider by the day!

im glad your still hanging in there! hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable fall break :) and as for the checking the id's, that is the stupidest thing when we (ra's/deskworkers/night sups) are asked to ask for id's, even when we know the kids names front/back. asking for id's isnt the bad part, its when we know who you are and they STILL tell us to check them, its just as annoying for the people on the other side of the desk, but what did you do the deskworker who asked for id??? details! catch ya later, take it easy!

I feel sorry for you guys too. this campus is really getting ridiculous! I didn't really do anything. There were three of us that walked in together. The other two are roommates on the second floor and I live on the second floor. We flashed our flashy IDs and the girl said, "Do you guys live here?" I said, "No, we're just going up to some random girl's room." She just kind of looked at me funny and asked again if we lived here. I just said, "Yes, we all live here." Then we all walked upstairs. It WAS kind of funny at the time though. There was one day I came back walmart and had my hands full with about 4 bags in each hand. I struggled to even get in the door. The girl at the desk has seen me a million times, I know. She said, "Let me see your ID". So what did I do? I through ALL of my bags on the floor towards the desk. There was another girl sitting behind the desk that kind of chuckled. I just kept as much of a straight face as I could. Like I'm going to carry all of these bags by myself up to some girl's room?

that is hilarious, we have residents here at case that are fed up with me asking for id's. we are getting the card scanning system so if they arnt use to carrying their id's on them..then they will have to possibley pay to get in the hall, so its a friendly reminder, hahaha. stick with the OT, you can do it!

We're getting the scanning system, too. It was supposed to start working yesterday, but I haven't heard anything on it. I didn't get to go to the informational meeting. how much would we have to pay to get in, and why? Like I mentioned earlier, this campus is getting stupid!!!
Re: hey anna!ohsnapitsandiDecember 2 2004, 04:02:12 UTC
im not sure about the pay, shalamar (case rhc) talked about a dollar. i think we would charge kids to get in if they forgot their id because that means we will have to scan them in or something like that. and your right, this campus keeps slowly going down the toilet, why are we still here, who knows...
