All is good:)

Well I thought this Christmas would be totally ruined, due to an arguement my sister and I had last night. But happily things got work out and the family are coming over tomorrow afterall. Couldn't stand the thought of everyone's Christmas being ruined cause of an argument, I believe at times it is ok to get mad, but to resolve quickly otherwise it just eats in your deeper being and can change your life for the worse. Poisons the soul to say. Plus I love my sister way too much to let an arguement put a wedge between us, which we both can be stubborn in who is right and who is wrong...but sometimes you have to swallow your pride and let it go....Relationships are way too important and to argue about anything that can put a wedge in it can be a bit foolish (at least this arguement it would of been). Also Christmas isn't about that....arguing , but about peace, love and hope....more importantly it is about Jesus (which you tend to find peace , love and hope in Him!).
Excuse my journal colors and design, til I get it perfect:-) Going play around til I am satisfy (and knowing me..that will be a while lol)
Josh Groban was on Good Morning America this morning, He is not only very cute..his voice is beyond amazing. Hmmm got to get his CD!  I never paid much attention to him, but since hearing Believe on the radio, I am beginning to take notice:)    On another subject, just saw they have Dean Martin Variety Show on DVDs...already getting ideas on what to spend my Christmas $$$ on, but lol got to spend it on clothes, need some bad!  Since I have gain weight, don't have much clothes. Of course keep thinking I will lose some weight lol so keep waiting, but it has been long enough lol. Which I got off Zoloft, which was making me crave carbs like crazy and since being totally off..have noticed I am not craving food like crazy now...so might lose a few pounds. As long as it isn't too much, I needed to gain about 25 pds ..but could lose about 20 (just hope don't lose everything I have gained!)
OK Getting off subject:-(  Back to Christmas........Christmas isn't really about what we get...Christmas is Christ and Mas....Mas meaning Worship , it is truly about Him (in my opinion...I realize others do celebrate this holiday that don't believe, but I celebrate it due to the spiritual side of it, not the secular side )

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. (OT - Isaiah 9:6)

Xmas (http://wilstar.com/xmas/xmassymb.htm)
This abbreviation for Christmas is of Greek origin. The word for Christ in Greek is Xristos. During the 16th century, Europeans began using the first initial of Christ's name, "X" in place of the word Christ in Christmas as a shorthand form of the word. Although the early Christians understood that X stood for Christ's name, later Christians who did not understand the Greek language mistook "Xmas" as a sign of disrespect.

The Date of Christmas (http://wilstar.com/xmas/xmassymb.htm)
The idea to celebrate Christmas on December 25 originated in the 4th century. The Catholic Church wanted to eclipse the festivities of a rival pagan religion that threatened Christianity's existence. The Romans celebrated the birthday of their sun god, Mithras during this time of year. Although it was not popular, or even proper, to celebrate people's birthdays in those times, church leaders decided that in order to compete with the pagan celebration they would themselves order a festival in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Although the actual season of Jesus' birth is thought to be in the spring, the date of December 25 was chosen as the official birthday celebration as Christ's Mass so that it would compete head on with the rival pagan celebration. Christmas was slow to catch on in America. The early colonists considered it a pagan ritual. The celebration of Christmas was even banned by law in Massachusetts in colonial days.
