I had to take a picture of the Athens Theatre ... one of my most favorite DeLand sites, ever.

Back story: the city of DeLand puts these gigantic plastic nutcrackers (although, come to think of it, they're actually not nutcrackers--they're soldiers. We call them nutcrackers, though. Oh well!) up every year, and every year we say we're going to take pictures with them. So here we are, taking pictures.
My sweater is doing some weird poofy-outy thing that makes me looks yucky. And for some reason, I felt the need to ... slump ... in all of these pictures. But yay for the soldiers-cum-nutcrackers.
Aww. Isn't the sky pretty? I love downtown DeLand during Christmas.

I have lots of words in my head (and my heart)--but for some reason, those words aren't quite ready to leave my body and transplant themselves onto the blank page in front of me.
