ok, i'm sure many of you are just as disappointed with the finale as i am! really??? THAT was the ending???? i had already harbored previous theories that the island was sort of a place of limbo, but what the finale had me thinking was that the "alternate universe" was actually the limbo state before the Losties figured out they were dead and came together to say goodbye and move on with their afterlife. cos only when they made the connection with each other did they realize what had actually happened to them and how they ended up dead.
oh yeah, and apparently they don't make it off the island, they just all die. except for Lapides and Miles.
it didn't answer many questions, like what made the other brother turn into the smoke monster? and where did the "mother" come from? what about the whispers heard throughout the jungle in previous seasons, who was that???
but even more confusing to me was why wasn't Ben Linus allowed into the church along with the Losties? even after he had asked for Locke's forgiveness, or even Hurley inviting him in, he still didn't go inside with the rest of them. is there going to be The Ben Linus show after this and how Ben continues to kick it on the island and fighting off Widmore?
