i havent updated in a month
hey all, rehersal bot holiday collage was last night, the biggest concert of the year, and let me tell you how it went......
IT SUCKED
i dont care what anyone says, im NOT goin back on thursday and friday, even if i friggin fail orchestra. it was the most pretty f***in miserable school activity ive done EVER. i stayed home sick today with the flu because somebody there probably gave it to me cuz people were packed so tight in the halls, and i was gettin coughed on, sneezed on, spit on, it sucked. i was rushed so much at the beginning. first i went on to play bass in CSE, and they promised id have time to tune my bass before hand, but i didnt. so im standing right outside the door to the auditorium, listening and plucking so hard just to hear my bass cuz it was SO loud and my tuner couldnt pick up the noise so i had to strain my ears. by the way, my tuner got stolen, would ya look at that. left it in my bag, came back, my bags open, and my tuners gone. so when i think im tuned, i walk out with JUST enough time to hook up to my amp, and then i hit my headstock on the keyboard!!!! my A and D strings fly out of tune, so i franitcally pluck them softly to get them back in tune, and then the lights come up and were playing. so the song goes horribly, cuz im not in tune with anyone else remotely. and then i run all the way back to the orchestra room, get my violin which isnt in tune either, make it just in time back to the auditorium to start playing the nutcracker, which went bad anyways, not just cuz i wasnt in tune. so i didnt have to play again til the end of the concert, so i had about 45 minutes off. i just sat with my friends and played johns guitar. i played and sang Under the bridge for everyone, and that was pretty sweet. then i played and sang the song me and zac wrote and everyone thought it was awesome! i had to sing the refrain an octave low cuz my voice didnt want to go very high XD
but i feel like crap now and i dont even know if ill be better by tomorrow.
