I'll get back to you on the day. Last night was awful for sleep and I'm going to bed EARLY tonight! Tomorrow is an early train to Salisbury!

So... Bath. Apparently the hostel in Salisbury didn't have wifi! *GASP* The Horror! So here's Bath. Two days later!

After I got into Bath it took me forever to find a place where the bus I needed stopped at, so I spent twenty minutes walking around with my large backpack and bag-on-trolley until I finally found one. Boarded the bus to the hostel. And you need it! The hostel is in a *lovely* Italian-style mansion half-way up a *huge* hill. Fortunately the bus stops right in front of it. So I got there, dropped off my things and then caught the bus back down the hill into town.

Bath Abbey is such a lovely church! The architecture is beautiful! They were sold out for the violin concert that they were to have there later that night though.

After wards I found the oldest building in Bath. The Sally Lunn restaurant. It makes the world famous Sally Lunn Buns. And oh my were they so good! So soft and fluffy and nummy! Remembering them makes my mouth water!

Anyways..... Went into Roman Baths museum and got to see England's onsen! The waters is a natural hot spring that the ancient tribes people and the Romans thought were sacred. Excavations revealed the ancient temple and bath house that used to be there. Very big, very complex.

Then there was more wandering, dinner, and then a return to the hostel where I repacked my bag and did some things. And slept very, very well. ^_^

Day Twelve:

Ouf! I had to get up EARLY to catch the train to Salisbury. The reason why is because I bought an advanced ticket so I had to catch *this* train or forfeit my ticket. Got to the hostel very early, put up my stuff, and wandered into town.

First up was a trip to Salisbury Cathedral. Beautiful! So big! The size was mind-blowing! And so pretty. The stained glass especially. And... guess what's in the Chapter House?!

An *original* copy of the Magna Carta! One of four left! I was a piece of plate glass away from it!

I had lunch in the cathedral restaurant and then headed outside to the Cathedral Close. The house I wanted to see was closed that day so I went into the Salisbury Museum. Very nice museum. Lots of stuff for being so local. Chatted a bit about traveling and the area with the gentleman behind the counter.

Then I headed back to the hostel where I rented the Wii to give it a try since they didn't have WiFi. Was joined by a French man there with a school group of French kids on holiday. We did the boxing and such together. A very charming guy. Their driver also joined us and we Wii bowled (even on a video game I pull to the left!!) and Wii baseballed until they had to join their kids in a goofy dress up party down in the basement.

It was a very good day.

I'm getting tanned!

On to Cambridge!
