Secondly, thank you! I've really fallen in love with writing them as teens, and this particular story is eating at my brain - there's so much more backstory that I came up with that didn't make it in to this one. I love these boys. *smushes them*

This is truly wonderful... I'm a sucker for kid!fics and when I read one that also has that Stand By Me feeling - MAJOR MELTDOWN ♥ :D The bond between Peter and Neal is always special, I can tell in this particular universe it means even more than in our canon :D

Have you thought about turning it into a 'verse? I can imagine there is much more to explore here :D

I actually had Stand By Me on in the background while I was writing this - as soon as I hit on the idea of the boys being teenagers, I had to go to the movie for some inspiration. :)

I have thought about turning it into a 'verse. I have two specific plot ideas for future stories, and there is quite a bit of backstory that I wrote in order to be able to write this one. I have a couple of other fic commitments before I can do it, but I would definitely love to do it.
