Snowflake Challenge - Day 7

Day 7
In your own space, share something non-fannish about yourself. A passion or a hobby or a talent, something that people might not know about you. We are more than just our fandoms. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I'll share a couple of things since I've missed a few days of the challenge.
1. With the help of YouTube, my mom, and a very patient friend, I've learned how to knit. I don't do anything fancy, but I can do a straight knit, so I've been working on this blanket for the past couple of years. I wanted it to be long enough to use as an actual blanket, so I've adjusted the dimensions a bit.
I can also cross-stitch and do a bit of plastic canvas, but I haven't done either in years. My mom is quite the crafty lady, and a bit rubbed off on me during the snowy winters of WV.
2. Also, another kind of random thing about me is that I've started collecting subway cards from my (limited) travels. So far, I only have an Oyster card from the London Tube, and a Tap card from LA. I missed my opportunity to get one from NY, but I'm sure I'll be back there soon enough.
