Hump Day Rambles
It got kind of long so I put it behind cuts :)
I'm way behind on responding to comments, so I'm working on that today. I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to reply everyone *hugs to you all*
I also need to update the Masterpost. Probably pretty badly. Oops. ;)
My RBB story is almost done. I got my beta notes back (thanks Pooh!!) so I just need to work through them. And the art is amazing, you guys - I can't wait for you to see it!!
Since my RBB is wrapping up, I want to finish some other stories that are really close to being completed - the presumed dead story and the genderswitch pregnancy crack fic, in particular. Also, I completed the first draft of the Neal Hughes story (!!!!!!) which I was pretty sure would never actually happen for a while - I don't write long stories in general, but that one has come in at 20k and the editing was overwhelming.
I'm thinking of doing a Drabble Meme today. I need to get back into writing mode, and I really enjoyed the Drabble Meme before, so I'm just trying to decide if I want to change the parameters or not. The character, noun, 'verse option worked really well last time.
In non-WC news, I have become a hockey fan. It's all sahiya's fault. ;) And my fave team - Chicago Blackhawks - are in the playoffs! I can't wait to see what happens. They're the defending Stanley Cup champs, so it'll be interesting, for sure.
I'm so entirely unmotivated to do schoolwork that it's ridiculous. I think I'm going to take the summer semester off and go back in the Fall. I'm 31 - I should not have issues focusing and motivating myself, but I do.
Work has been a nightmare. I could go on for days about it, but I'm hoping it gets better soon. On a bright note, I'm flying out to LA at the end of May for my friends' wedding, and I decided to go for a week so that I could work in the office for a change. This had the unexpected benefit of the office paying for my flight - woohoo!!
This post wouldn't be complete with a bit of a Bonus Bomer. Am I right? Or am I right?
