Life Hates Me
So...yesterday my mother got a letter from Louisiana Tech saying that my status as a graduate student had been changed to Post-Baccalaureate (I still don't know where they got that damn term), basically meaning I've been kicked out of the graduate program. I *think* this is because I got another 'C' last semester. I thought the rule was that you couldn't get two 'C's in one quarter, when apparently they meant that you couldn't get two 'C's *period.* Lovely day, I'm telling you. Also, lovely way to find that out, having my mother try to read me the letter over the phone and asking what's going on.
I feel like a massive flaming failure. I'd drop this summer quarter, too, if I didn't have much in the way of uses for the loan money coming my way. I'm going to see if there's an appeals process or if I can bring my GPA up and get back into the program, but I'm not holding my breath on this. I can stay there all I want to, and probably even transfer and get an English undergraduate degree (I'd probably be staying for the same amount of time), but what's the bloody point of THAT? I already have ONE degree that I can do nothing but teach with. Why add another?
