Halloween '09

What I was supposed to do this Halloween was go out and hand out candy in the park to little kids and then go to a party. I was planning on dressing as Dr. Horrible and everything. Well, I'm saving MY costume for next year, because those plans fell through due to rain and visit from my mother in law to fix my car (sadly, much more important than Halloween). However, I came up with a hilarious idea for dressing up Mo the dog.

I made him a scarf like the iconic Dr. Who, number four, to be exact. I started by following a pattern I found on the internet. Since I can't sew or knit worth a damn, I made a scarf out of duck tape and them painted over it in different colors. Then, I pinned it onto him so that it would stay. No Mo's were pinned during the process.

Unfortunately, Mo was not cooperative at all during this process. Instead of standing up, being cute, and taking pictures, he sat on the couch and pouted the entire time. Thing was, he would walk while I had it on him. Just not on his own. Follow the 'Mephistopheles' tag and you'll see how he first reacted to his collar. Basically, his 'buttness' is well known by me.

Yes, these actually are three separate pictures.

I also tried to paint a T.A.R.D.I.S. Unfortunately, I was far less successful with it than I was with the scarf. My art skills lack severely. My hands shake when I try to draw. Hell, I can't draw a straight line free handed. So, it was a miserable failure. Still, I tried.

I even tried going by a picture. Nothing worked.

Mo finally sat up for one picture. Whoo!

I have more pictures, but I will have to retrieve them from a separate camera. There's also pictures of him in the Snuggee that my mother in law bought for him. I've even taken him for a walk in it. He hated it far less than the scarf, but he still did not like it. I think he puts up with it because it's warm.

Till next time!!
