Work today for some reason just irratated me, it wasn't the dogs, or the people I worked with today. It was just the whole situation in the salon and people and the whole atmosphere of the store. Things I hate about my job, the hours, how I'm forced to work all the holidays it seems because other people find there families to be more important then mine are to me. And how Customers seem to think that because I groom dogs that means that I am lower then life and they are allowed to shit all over me.
Carrying on this train of thought, Do I come to your work place ad make your life a living hell? NO I am a reasonable ADULT! Now I know that you have heard that word before but lets some time and reflect just because you are over 21 and considered an adult doesn't mean you are one. How about you fucking act like one. Also why is it that everything is entitled to you? Is it because you are the best thing since Sliced bread? Perhaps because your skin isnt white so you thing you can play the racist card and get something? Because your dog is just the best and cutest thing? No all of these make no difference to me, or any groomer I'm willing to bet. Here's the things and I'll make this as clear as possible for those of you who are a little slow on the up take. Do you show up for your doctors or hair appointments late without calling? and if you don't call and show up close to or over a half hour late do they still take you in? Maybe they do but your forced to wait a lot longer. well same thing goes here, this is a fucking car wash ok? You don't sit down and wait for a 20 minutes while we bath and dry your dog. This shit takes time and 8 times out of 10 the dog hates to be dried and washed soo this takes more time. Also you arnt the only person here wanting there dog done today. We have schedules for a reason, we give you an appointment time for a reason, you need to make these times. I cannot express to you how irate i feel when people come in 20 minutes late and are like i'm here for my 3:30 appointment... ok that's great it's 4, you don't have a cell phone?
Rolling off that point, NO one in our salon will book you an appointment without telling you that we need to see rabies, and if you tell us that we did we know you are lying, it's also a lot of fun when you tell us that we didn't and the one you are talking to is the exact person who spoke with you on the phone. Also just because you lie and say we didn't tell you doesn't mean the rules are gone and now we can take your dog in, no now we just know you lie to us about everything.Also I understand when we turn you away for an ear infection this can be annoying but I did not make this rule, I only have to follow it. If your dog just got shots right before coming here and we can't take it in. Sorry again but I can't change that, you want to bitch there is a corporate number have a blast but I can't change anything. I simply work here.
If we call you and tell you your dog bit us and we can't continue with the groom and you have to go else where do not make us feel bad and guilt us because you don't know what your gonna to do. Maybe once the throbbing goes away and the bleeding stops I'll care a little more but right now your dog is on my shit list, and had you brought him/her to the grooming salon every 8 week since the time it was 2 months old. And trained it properly it would not be a little asshole and you wouldn't have to spend extra money on a private groomer and sedation pills. .. Oh you don't want your dog shaved, they'll look stupid that's great... You know that thing you run through your hair on a daily basis to make it look nice and keep out tangles.. yea it's called a BRUSH, you have to use them on your dogs too. Oh your dog is shedding, no by all means shave the fucking lab, why ever would you actually take care of your dog and brush it. That would just be SILLY.
Yes you, you customer are the reason I want to stab my eyes out by the end of a shift, for once in you life PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use a little respect and brains and treat others the way you want to be treated. And take care of your dog. I'm sorry grooming can be expensive, but if you can't afford it then don't get a groom dog. They are plenty of dogs out there that can be kept without constant work, buy one of those. Just because they are cute when they are puppy does not mean it's the right dog for you. For the love of pete do research.

Last night had the best time with Trina and Erin, I have not laughed that hard in a long long time. My throat hurt from it all it must be done again and soon. Going out on Tuesday with Trina for her birthday shall be fun. Now I am gonna go lay down and read for I am exhausted.
