This is where I show you all the awesome stuff I got for my birthday. What a great stash I received this year!
Tiffany & Co. ribbon pendant from my Aunty.
Miss Dior Cherie perfume from Debra + buffet dinner next Friday.
A purple Holga film camera from the Luos, the Tans, the Wees, the Yeos and one Ah Lim.
Ikat bright blue cut-out sleeve top from Natalie.
Peter Alexander birthday tank and shorts set from Australia from Lisa Boo.
A large foldable purple polka dot bag and a pouch from Japan from Hazel + buffet lunch with colleagues last Friday.
Oh, and a label maker from a few of my colleagues at work. I've wanted a label maker for ages. If I was never blessed with academics, I'd love to be a bookshop aunty. I find the photocopying, stapling, binding, labeling and being surrounded by heaps of stationery and papers very therapeutic. Yes, I sound bonkers I know.
Every year on my birthday, I think about how fast everyone gets older and time on this side of eternity really is just a blink of an eye. At least that’s what my aunty said when we had a quiet moment and I asked her how she felt being 65. She said unknowingly life moves quicker than you would expect.
Thank you all for the birthday well wishes, but most of all, for being a part of my life. For that, I am truly blessed. You really only get one start and one end to life, the middle parts are mostly made up of the life we live and the people we love.
