About 40% of my wardrobe consists of vintage clothing. Some actual second hard garments I buy from vintage clothing stores or handed down to me from my aunty's wardrobe in the 70s or brand new outfits that imitates the style from a previous era.
I like that old school look. I like that I look like women you would see in an old photograph.
Right this moment, this is what I am in want. I'm almost in tears that this 1960s/70s
Embroidered Flower Dress is sold out. It is sooooooo beautiful.
I also just finished reading Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella. The way she describes fashion in the 1920s and what the characters are wearing is inspiring. I just want to plunge right in the novel. Hey, I'm entitled to read fluffy fiction books ok. I only have 2 more months before I go back to reading textbooks and academic journals again. Zzzzzz...
And while we're on the subject of something old, I reckon this is gonna be one heck of a nostalgic exhibition going on at the National Museum. I'm thinking of bringing my old foggies. Betcha my mum and aunty will want to relive those years once again.
