haven't posted in forever...
been working away - i got asked if i wanted to do some management training and i said yes, so i got sent to the bum-hole of the country - litchfield, if you care - for the last 2 months. been working monday to friday, driving home friday night, then driving back sunday night. 450 mile round trip - tiring.
finally finish in a few weeks time and i can't wait. basically means the next time a manager's position arises, i'll be automatically considered for the job without having to interview for it because i'm 'graduating' from the class in the top 5 out of 30.
would be nice if a position comes up close to home. i can't move away or do this commuting bullshit - jane is freaking out. it would be good though, even just finacially - the wage difference is around £15,000. a HUGE difference. so yeah, i'm hopeful. i just need to wait now.
freaky coincidence of the year?! one of my best friends, clare has just started dating a girl i used to go to school with. but we went to school about 200 miles from where we live now. strange how we both left town and ended up in the same place....
