Last year I really wasted my summer. Apart from having my sister to stay for a week, and going for a week or two to the South of France myself, I did nothing, and by the time it was time to return to work in September, I felt really depressed not only at the thought of going back but also at the realisation that I'd wasted my summer.
While to an extent I know that holidays are for doing nothing, it seems a waste because that's an awful lot of freedom to use on just sitting around. Particularly while I'm still childless - so GENUINELY have the entire summer to myself - I'd like to actually use it.
So I want suggestions of things to do with my summer. I want to ideally do something every day, even more ideally stuff I've never done before, and even more ideally keeping the cost down or free (though I'm prepared to splurge or spend on a few things).
There are a lot of Top 100 Things To Do lists online, but they are mostly suffixed by ...before you die...and tend to involve massively expensive and improbable things like jumping out of an aeroplane while recording an album over Niagara Falls.
My summer holiday is 62 days long, so I'll be looking for at least 60 things (I already have one or two ideas of my own, but need a little help from my friends). Search your brains people :)
