Achievement Unlocked: 2015
As a nice way to start 2016, let's take some time out to celebrate some of the things that happened in 2015. In the comments to this post name as many or as few things as you like, no matter how big or small; they can be things that you did in 2015 that you are proud of, events that happened, or new things you discovered. And don't forget that you can (but don't have to) reply to other people's comments, but please play nice!
As for me, I guess quite a bit happened in 2015? It just doesn't feel like it.
While I haven't managed to get a job, I have been invited to more job interviews, including one week where I had four interviews in five days, and I did fairly well in most of them. I also completed a computer course (including a optional module on databases) much quicker than anticipated, mainly by being better with computers than my previous qualifications would suggest (i.e. being mostly self-taught).
Online-wise, I managed to subtitle a frankly ridiculous amount of fanvids for Wiscon Vid Party (32), plus a couple for
leanwellback. Then I taught him the basics of subtitling his own vids, because subtitling anything when you can't hear properly is both a pain in the arse and a gamble - the internet is not always right when it comes to lyrics, if you can find them in the first place. The subtitle files for the WVP will probably never get used outside of the vid shows, and the there are probably a fair amount of mistakes in them, but I tried. Oh my god, did I try.
I also prompt-sorted for
femslash_kink (again) and did a fill list as well. For some reason, we got a lot more prompts than ever before, and probably the least amount of prompt sorters, and it was serously tough, as in thinking about not doing it next year tough. But then the mods say things like "[angelkitten] is AMAZING and tireless and this meme would not happen without her" and, well. Maybe I just need to beg for someone who can look over the Marvel/DC prompts, as they seemed to give the most trouble.
I finished my Big Eyes mood theme in March, which was made an official mood theme in August-ish (Issue 1462 on this code tour). Out of all the official moodthemes I've made, it's definitely the second. It's come to my attention that it doesn't look as good on very dark backgrounds, which is something to keep in mind if/when I make another mood theme.
Also, I became an auntie! Baby CJ is such a cute. I really hope to spend more time with her as she grows up.
