~*~ This was an accident, not the kind where sirens sound ~*~

So, today = fun.

I went up to the Cedar Court Hotel (which is like a big posh thing that I get nervous just going into because it's all posh and I'm not) to go to a screening of a documentary that my sort-of employment agency was involved in. My main consultant at the agency seemed vaguely impressed with me turning up but one of her coworkers, Zara, was all "congratuWELLDONE!" and then started telling me about how another coworker, Derek, is going back into training, but not before being Santa at the local shopping centre XD So I like to think I did myself proud just getting myself to go there - but wait, there's more!

Before the screening I didn't really talk to anyone, but during the lunch afterwards I ended up talking to a lot of older men and women (who were representatives of people who want to work with the agency) and actually impressing them, even if they all thought I was about 23/24 (which is the nearest guess I've had in a while I have to say). And one guy on another table got discreetly slapped for staring at me for too long XD And me and this one guy forwent dessert to keep going back for more paninnis at the buffet, because there were loads of them and there were serious amounts of nom.

So I have learnt from that that I may have a superpower - I can make everyone aged 50+ love me in minutes. What a fun superpower.

Oh, and before the meeting, a guy going to another meeting on the same floor offered to let me go up the stairs first, but I just smiled at him and said he could go first, and he tripped over the first step. And then, on the way home, I got waved at by guys in three different cars, got let across a crossing by a guy in a van only to have a guy in the taxi behind it smile and nod at me, watched one guy at a junction try to turn his head to look at me when I crossed the road behind him, and got 8 guys and one woman trying to turn their heads 180 while going past me.

From this a conclude that I must have looked like some sort of freak, even with my best attempts at dressing pretty.

Oh and my older sister Carol and her husband Grant came over for tea and had the following exchange:

Carol: So we were at this buffet breakfast, and when Grant went back for seconds and no-one looked twice, I was all "Well, bugger me"...
Grant: Well, it'd be rude not to.
Carol: O_O
Mum: O_O
Me: ROFLMAO!
Grant: ...ROFLMAO!

He meant that it would have been rude not to go back for seconds, obviously.

real-life funny stuffs, family
