Ouchies!!
So today was my second day, they left me completely on my own to prep my round, and to deliver it all by myself... Not too bad really, I made my first letter posted at 7.45am, when it's normally about 7am, but i did finish my round at about 10.45, and i was in the canteen at work by 10.50am how's that then?? Not too bad, then i asked my boss what he wanted me to do next... But as he was in a meeting he told me to sit in the canteen and wait and he'll come along in a few minutes and tell me.... So he turned up at midday and told me to go home!!! Cool eh?? my tea break was 1 hour and 10 Minutes, all of which i got paid for!! Well i actually get paid until 1, so i'm typing this and getting paid for it!!
On my training course there was four of us from the winchester branch, Me, Daniel, helen and Rick... The last two being "relief" post people who just do any rounds, so they've not got a set one.. Rick has had two different rounds and when i saw him today he was cursing because they were pretty bad one's... I know the area so i kinda chuckled... Helen was a post person before so she knows what has to be done and looked knackered as she's not ridden a bike in about 8 years, HaHa, but she's coping..
I feel sorrt for daniel though, as the round he's got is quite a way away and the guy that was supposed to be his "Walk Tutor" wasn't there yesterday, and there was no one who knew his round, he was shown his sorting rack and basically left to it, i saw him today and asked how he got on... I found out that he started at 7, doing his round and he finished it at 5pm, the poor bastard. But he carried on and finished it, he must have been knackered... I thought i was bad when i finished mine at 10.30am yesterday because i was being shown where i had to go... OK so today i finished a bit later, but it was because i was left fully on my own!!
There you go, the interesting life of a sad guy who's now a postman!!!
I can see you all rushing to hit the exit button!!!

Postman Tets
