Wow...it's been a while since I posted anything. A lot has happened in the past few months! My hubby had another deployment. He's back now though and won't be deploying until after the baby is born. I'm 25 weeks pregnant! Only 15 weeks to go. It's going by super fast, but at the same time it's kind of dragging. We're super excited to meet our little girl!
Yep, we're having a girl! We found out a couple of weeks ago. She's healthy and super active! She was giving the ultrasound tech a hard time! Me and Spencer are so excited. I've been having a lot of fun buying her clothes. I'm pretty sure she's going to have more clothes than Spencer and me combined by the time she's born. Now we've gotta work on getting the nursery cleaned out and set up. I just ordered the bedding set we like. I can't wait til we can get the crib and decorate everything. I just wish we could paint the walls. Oh well.
We've got a name picked out! Arya Brianne. Arya is pronounced Ar-ee-ya, like the character from Game of Thrones. Spencer picked it out!
I actually look pregnant now. I had to break down and buy maternity clothes. I haven't put on too much weight yet, especially since I lost 10 lbs my first trimester due to morning sickness. Hopefully I won't put on too much. I want to get into really good shape after Arya's born! I've been feeling pretty good lately. I get heartburn all the time and it's starting to get hard to get comfortable at night when I'm trying to sleep, but otherwise I feel pretty good. I'll be going into my 3rd trimester soon, so hopefully I won't start to feel really shitty. >.<;;
Besides the baby, we're going to be getting a kitty! Our landlord finally gave us approval to get a pet. We decided that between having a baby to take care of, Spencer deploying, and me working shift, a cat is just easier than a dog since they aren't as dependent as dogs. I'm super excited. I miss having a kitty! If it's a boy, we're going to name him Balthazar. Don't know what we'll name it if we get a girl.
Hmmm...what else... I've gotten pretty used to shift work. The whole switching shifts every week is a pain and completely fucks up my sleep schedule, but the job isn't too hard, thankfully. It's generally pretty uneventful and boring usually. I'm slowly working on getting my license. I've really gotta buckle down and make myself practice. It'll save me so much stress if I can drive. I won't have to worry about how I'm getting to work or what I'd do if something happened to Spencer. I'm hoping to have my license by April. I'm aiming for early April.
I'll hopefully be taking language class in April, which will be nice since I have to retake my DLPT in May, which is when the class ends. Plus it means a normal, Mon-Fri schedule which would be amazing since I never get weekends with Spencer anymore. Stupid shift schedule. But yeah. Keeping my fingers crossed for that.
I'll be testing for E-5 in a few weeks. This will be my 3rd time testing. I wouldn't mind making E-5 for the extra money, but I don't really the added responsibility. Oh well. It's hard to say what advancement will be like anyway. It's been pretty bad for the past few cycles.
Other than that, not much has been going on. Things have been pretty quiet, which I am perfectly okay with. I don't need any excitement in my life right now. Having a baby is enough excitement for me, thank you very much!
