national wholesale liquidators is this kind of ghetto value city (as if value city isn't ghetto already) and rob and i go there sometimes when he needs some really cheap toilet paper and laundry detergent. anyway, i went there and got two really beautiful candlestick holders with fairy figurines on them. i'll post pictures as soon as i get my dock hooked up to my laptop.

two days ago, it was 50 degrees. now, it's eighteen degrees outside. "if you don't like the weather in d.c., wait ten minutes." that is so true. it's finally beginning to feel like january and my cat is beginning to stay indoors more, even though katy's an outdoor cat.

i'm making plans to go to new york city this weekend. found a hotel for sixty dollars a night on biddingfortravel.com, so with tax that should come to about 155 dollars. not bad if you split it halfway. bus is 35 dollars roundtrip from the d.c. chinatown to the nyc chinatown. i have about 300-400 dollars budgeted for this trip, so i can sort of shop a little. only two days, and hell if you don't know that new york city has so much things to do. rob's coming with me, and we'll probably hook up with a friend of ours from gally, bak. she lives in long island, about fifty minutes away from manhattan, but it's not that bad if you want to spend a day in manhattan with friends. will be cold as fuck, though.

blockbuster is a $15 a day habit. fucker.
