I've been working like crazy doing worldbuilding research in pre-prep for Laea Wake. It feels so good to be out of my writer's block and into a creative stride.
I have a beginning for the first chapter! The last bit was a beginning to the prologue. I'm having a difficult time deciding how to incorporate the fact that the world is within one's mind with the love I have for the world itself. I'm so tempted to put all the Mask and Creator bits behind in favor of just creating a lovely little world to play in, with actual non-metaphysical plot and such. How to combine the two, that's such the issue. *sigh*
Anyway...
"It's been 24 hours since the world ended, and we've never had so much fun."
I'm such a sucker for opening sentences, and I love this one. It makes me want to dance around. It brings rather great happiness to Sunshine and Tenormae, especially.
