Personality:
A country girl moved to the big city, Misaki is a huge sweetie. She cares about her friends and her angel dearly, even other people’s angels. When the fight is over, she even checks to make sure the other angel is okay. This has happened more than once throughout the series. Misaki is almost a picture of innocence at times. She is kind and gentle, but also strong when it is needed. This girl would even have an issue with hitting a fly. That does not stop her from playing Angelic Layer, though.
She almost always has a smile on her face and she tries her best with great determination; the kind of girl who gets right back up again when she falls down. She might need a little prompting and encouragement, but she will get up and keep fighting. From Angelic Layer to cleaning or even doing errands, Misaki gives 100 percent and if it was possible, more. This girl can be pretty stubborn, too, not giving up when others think she should. Almost always speaking her mind in a kind way, Misaki is a very honest person.
Over the series Misaki gets stronger. Not by lifting weights, but by learning more moves for Hikaru and growing as a person. She makes more friends and becomes a little braver. With each chapter she becomes surer of herself and her ability to battle with Hikaru, whether it’s her self confidence rising from winning another battle or trying a new move.
Let’s not forget how excitable she is. If she gets surprised, she might jump into the air, or if suddenly very happy, she might hug you. She also makes friends very easily. Even characters that originally dislike her fall for her charm, like Arisu for example. In the beginning, Arisu despises Misaki for beating her sister, but when she herself loses to Misaki, Arisu realizes she was wrong.
Let's not forget that Misaki acts younger than she is at times. While she might almost be a full-blown housewife, she looks like a third grader to a lot of people. It’s not just her size but how she acts. Misaki has this child like innocence that just flows from her. Misaki is extremely gullible, to the point that it’s kind of ridiculous. You could tell her the moon is made of cheese and if she didn’t know better, there’s a high chance she would believe you. She doesn’t expect people to lie to her. There’s also a lot of things she doesn’t understand. Misaki doesn’t get things like innuendos, so it’s very likely that she never got “The Talk.”
In short, Misaki has a heart of gold and will do her best to become friends with everyone.

I-I can’t believe I lost her!
[The angle changes to show a girl with tears welling up in her eyes. A hand appears and the feed cuts off.]
I’m not sure if I’m doing this right but I think I might be lost. Also my Angel Hikaru is missing. So if you find a pretty doll with pink hair somewhere could you ask if it’s mine please?
[The camera turns back on to show the girl again. It looks like she finished crying.]
How does this…? Ah!
[The video cuts off again.]
Third Person Sample:
This was not how Misaki planned to start her day. Looking up from the patch of ground she had found herself on, Misaki yelped as she stood up in a hurry, almost falling over.
“What!? Where am I!? This isn’t Tokyo! Is it…?”
Looking around frantically to try and find her bearings, a ball fell out of her pocket. Next thing Misaki knew, there was a bird in her face.
“Eek! W-Where did you come from!?”
The bird made a chirping sound in her direction happily as she watched it fly around, still surprised. She had no idea where it could have come from.
“You’re so fluffy... C-Can I pet you?”
The Swablu sat on her head and Misaki lightly touched a wing. Breaking into a smile, she tried to look up at the bird Pokemon.
“You’re so soft and pretty! Ah! I need to focus! I still don’t know where I am…”
Turning her head slowly so not to disturb her new winged friend, Misaki frowned. This town looked more like where she used to live than anywhere near her aunt’s house.
“This doesn’t look anything like Tokyo. Or it doesn't look like a part I have ever been to…”
When she thought about it, when did she ever go to sleep? Misaki had been walking to school. Did she pass out? Was she kidnapped? That couldn't be possible, could it? Why would anyone want to kidnap her in the first place? Her heart rate increased and she decided it would be best to sit down and think. The Swablu hopped into her lap, noticing her distress and chirped loudly, trying to get her attention.
“Swablu!”
“Swablu? Is that your name?”
The bird Pokémon shook its head and chirped again. Then Misaki had an idea.
“Can I give you a name?”
The Swablu jumped out of Misaki’s lap, chirping happily the whole time.
“Umm… I know! Aoko! That’s pretty! Just like you!”
Flying around her head as Misaki stood up, the Swablu landed on her head, pleased. Now what to do? Picking up her bag, Misaki decided to move forward and figure out this strange new land.
