Fairytale Mirror part 2

Okay I seriously should stay away from cider while trying to get bit by plot bunny....I might make alternative Luffy POV chapter if no one likes this. :EE Sorry for any typos, but it's the alcohol's faulth. Damn my auntie and her obsession of trying to make me drink 'till I'm drunk :P

He didn't quite see it, but he always felt it. Behind every smile, there was cry for help, behid every laugh, there was tears of inner pain, totally out from this world. He had his own inner demons too, but he turned his every bit of pain into a toothy smile and let it all out in loud cries of happines. Some probably tought that he was somehow retarted, or something near to it. But they just didn't understand.

He wasn't interested in reading people, or listening to their problems, of course he would always help his nakama out. But there was one. One person. One boy. Who catched his attention at the first time they met. It was something he would never forget. There was something in that boy that catched his attention. It wasn't the beautiful curly hair, or the pretty funny but cute looking long nose, it wasn't those full and pink lips or wasn't it those beautiful brown orbs that examined him silently. Althought these things weren't bad ones either, it was something that couldn't be seen. It was something he felt in his heart. He could almost hear it. Silent pleas of help. Silent begs for something.

He noticed how that boy kept staying on people's good sides. How he always told amazing stories that seemed so alive. How he tried so hard to be brave for even one moment. How he kept smiling and laughing, even when bad things happened. But every smile, every laugh, they seemed to lack something. That spark of life and real feeling behind them. He knew that something was wrong with this boy.

When he had told that Merry wasn't going to sail anymore, the boy had nearly freaked out. He knew how the other must've felt. Merry was like a living person. Like one of them. One of the nakamas the boy could lean on. If even one of his pilars would collaps, he would go with it, not being able to stand anymore.

It was somewhere along the fight when he felt deep connection with the other. He suddenly realized what was wrong. Everything seemed so surreal, but not impossible. All the lies, all the tales, all the silent pleas, all the tears, all the touches, all the looks with deep meaning. They were asking for help. They were pleading for someone to come and save him. All the attacks the boy had made were ones he could not die from. They weren't even enough to make serious damage. It was the final pained cry for help, before the curly haired sniper would collapse and lost all hope. If the rest of the Mugiwaras were going to leave him and continue their way, he would be on his own again. He would have to start from the beginning again. But even the captain wasn't sure if the long nosed liar could make it any further.

So when he landed the last blow, he reached out to Usopp's soul. Pleaded with his dark eyes for the brown eyed one to let him in his sould, in his heart. If he just let him help, he would.

“Usopp, let's face the reality, together.”

Those were the last words he said to him before giving one last glance before walking away with nearly broken heart. He didn't know if he had succeesed, but he had bad feeling that this day would change everything between them. Nothing was going to be the same anymore. Usopp wasn't going to be the same, even he, Luffy, wouldn't be the same never again. The world had tilted, and it wasn't going to turn into right position again.

Reaching up, he pulled the beloved Strawhat in front of his face, not wanting to look weak in front of his crew. He could hear silent sobs from Usopp, and that made him smile silently. Everything was going to be okay in the end of this rocky road. They were going to sail again, and one tilted world didn't stop their ship from moving.

They would sail again, forever, together, to the end of the world, and even further from that. This life was just part of their adventure. The silent whisper could be heard, but it was thought as wind and no one thinked of it much. All but the receiver of the message.

“Let's sail again together, Luffy.”

And so the dark haired captain of the Mugiwara crew sobbed silently. But his tears were the ones of happiness.

Everything was going to be okay...
