I survived another Origins w/o having a nerveous breakdown! :) I spent close to three hundred dollars on games and other stuff.
What I did At Origins:
WED: picked up badge and registered for games.
THURSDAY: 7th Sea tabletop game, High Noon At Terra Firma- LARP (billed as a "wild west that almost isn't), which actually turned out to be a Dr. Who style game...with Blake playing The Professor (the Dr. Who syle character) and me playing his assistant. All in all a good fun game.
FRIDAY: QAGS: "Life is Random", in which the GM randomly rolled the theme, plot, etc...and we randomly rolled our characters. It was a blast, the theme ended up being "Anthropomorhpic Animal Dectectives Opposed By Monsters", we randomly rolled our character names and animal type. I got insect so I was Lisa the Butterfly, and Blake got reptile so he made Earl the Plesiasuar (who's special talent was depressing people so much they couldn't function). Also played a LARP called "Star Wars: Ark of the Condemmend" which resulted in a TPK (total party kill), though the hijinks that ensued were HILAIROUS. Also played another LARP called "Warhammer 40K Nox Terimnus", I was TERRIBLE at that game. I'm not really familiar with the warhammer universe so it was a total mess for me.
SAT: Blake and I decided to sleep in and visit the dealer room for shopping and "paint and take". I got to talk to a really nice woman manning the table about how to strip mini's and prime without a hassle. My mini doesn't look too bad, though during touch up I was having issues because I was trying to hurry. Later that night we went to my most anticipated LARP "Fading Suns: To Be A Piragte King". My crew was an all female group of Vuldrok (space vikings) and we were AWESOME. Unfortunately the game got called early do to one of the players being severly ill, but that is understandable. So Blake and I returned home last night.
PURCHASES: Fading Suns: Aliens and Deviltry (one of the few FS books I'm mising), Blake got a bunch of WoW cards, and a crocheted Cthulhu (he was too cute to pass up).
